• Install the latest Service Packs/Updates for Windows, Office, Internet Explorer
• Run "ScanDisk" to check hard drive for errors
• Run "Defrag" to defragment files
• Run "Disk Cleanup" to delete unneeded files
• Clean out files from temporary files directory
• Update virus definitions
• Check for spyware and look for any potential problems and concerns
